ive had a few callipers on the bike in the past had some monoblocs off a Yamaha I think at some point and had some brembos after that now I'm back to the stock calliper , the pads are very low (am I fuck replacing them at £90) so I thought it would be best to just fit a better uprated calliper , what are my options , I want better performance to go with my accossato m/c but I don't want to break the bank , I know you guys have had various callipers to your b1hs over the years so any insight is much appreciated

So you don't want to replace the brake pads because that's too expensive, instead, you're going to replace the callipers?

The std B1 callipers, with pads and braided lines are awesome.

Stop being a fucking idiot.

At 90 quid a time it's not cheap I'd rather spend a bit more money get better callipers that don't take 4 stupid pads

I wouldn't say there awesome......... I'd say they could be worse

Buying a complete bike just for the petrol tank wasn't cheap either but that didn't stop you.

It was better value , I end up with a load of performance parts and should still turn a profit so it's win win

So use that profit to buy the brake pads and save money over new callipers.

Do you need uprated braking performance?

Are you going to be using the bike that much that you are going to wear through pads at a phenomenal rate, therefore saving money in the long run by overspending on new callipers now?

It seems an excessive spend just because you don't want to spend £90 on new pads.

From what I've seen a set of used callipers will cost about the same as pads. And as I will be keeping the zx6r indefinitely an upgrade can't hurt

Just realised I can get brembo m4 monoblocs for around 250 but not sure how they perform and if it would be better than say a pair of nissins off a 2013 zx6r

07 & up Nissin calipers are good, definitely an upgrade.

Are spacers needed? Or are they a straight fit , was thinking 300mm disks but not decided on that

I am sure-ish they are straight swap. I have 07 forks, discs, calipers &  mc on my b1h. Yeah, I've seen b1h's with these calipers on standard forks.

If you're looking for a trick upgrade, be prepared to spend, and while you're at it, get some Ohlins forks.

If you're looking for a performance upgrade, don't bother, the standard set up is awesome for a light 600 with limited power...... It was good enough for the super sport lads back in the day

There 108mm centres not 100? Just want to make sure I don't bid on wrong calipers
