On a PCP deal. Anyone any advice on PCP deals, pros and cons
What's the interest rate? What's the balloon total? How longs the finance?
PCP funds depreciation - nothing more. I suppose it depends what you plan to do with it at the end of the finance term.
It's a very tempting deal. I'd be interested myself but rumour has it a lot of new cars sold on PCP nowadays will have no equity at the end of the finance period due to the second hand market being on its arse. How it changes in the bike industry I don't know.
Probably keep it at the end of the deal.
Just not in the position to sell everything at the moment, so may elevate my financial situation out before I start selling my current bikes.
Some saving from when they were released. I feel for the poor fuckers who paid top dollar.
Do it Terry you only live once ;)
Need to sit on one. Reports coming back that they are small and have a cramped riding position.

Great video. Poor Dealership network and reports of poor mpg put me off this particular bike...but I reckon it would be a fun ride.
I'm lucky. Have a very good KTM dealer 5 mins from my house.
Can't wait to test ride a 790 in March.
Pulling the pin on the 1290 GT tomorrow. To good of a deal to pass.
Have you ridden one?
Not even sat on One yet :azn:

Good man
Haven't seen a bad review yet...6th gear is too tall and can be thirsty is the only two reported negatives...but that is mere opinion.
Happy New Bike day then Tel???
Be very interested to hear what you think of it. A tall 6th for a road tourer that's renowned for being thirsty is not surprising Alzo.
Thanks Moz.
Struggling to find a Grey one in the UK. Plenty of Orange ones.
Dealers are advertising the bike, but when you ring them, they have none left.
Been offered ex-demos, nearly new bikes and one large dealer has decided to stick a grand on the price tag.

They looks so similar, I'd take the orange one.
Bet changing the fairing wouldn't cost the earth.
Boom !!!!!!!!!! Deal done, Grey one. Pickup in 2/3 weeks. First new bike for 12 years

The reports suggest 6th is redundant under 85mph...but as said that's Journos reviews...take most with a pinch of salt.
nice, was seriously tempted by this offer too
but then reminded myself the whole point i have 2 bikes is so i dont have to take a nice bike out in winter months
i am sure it is cracking bike
I wouldn't take a 990 SMT out in the winter either Komp - far too good.

maybe but its that or the panigale!
Exactly
Dilemma. I have 3 bikes, which one do I get rid of. KTM 950sm, had this from new, sort of attached to it. KTM 450sx, like riding a pushbike with engine.
Depending on the spec, mileage and deal - I'd be interested in the 950 Tel
KTM 950sm 2005
Twin Akros
Rottweiler air filter (Jetted and dyno to suit 108 bhp RW)
Black twinwall Bars
New Orange plastics (Been in storage from nearly new)
Stripped down 2 years ago. Frame powder coated Black (frame number still intact), wheels powder coated Black. Top end engine rebuild. (Pictures of bore and pistons to show condition)
Recent C&S
Suspension recently serviced.
Brakes serviced with new pads.
35k
Good well looked after bike.
Looking for £3750 ono
Plenty of pictures on FB page
I was going to keep it in garage until spring (Winterised). But you are welcome to see it.
...and the 450?
Are you interested in the 450?
Tempting but probably not seriously enough at the mo' :undecided:
Planning on an outing on a 250 in the spring so will see how that goes...
The 450sx is a supermoto.
Bargain for someone after a 950sm (Moz) Not mine BTW

Bargain.
Not for me.
Picked her up
Rear pegs removed and new end can
Looks fantastic.
awesomes
Statement of hooligan intent right there.
Of course not your honour, I purchased this motorcycle for pleasant perambulations in the countryside and occasional trips to the shops.
Lovely. What can is that?
Pro-race small company just outside Peterborough. £220 posted.
Manufacture claim 98db at 5k. Might do the de-cat mod after 1st service.
The most powerful bike I have owned for a good few years.
I have not ridden the bike. 5 miles on clock.
Very nice Terry 😎🏍
I hope that can's built to take the power pulses that animal will put out!!!
Terry how you getting on with the GT?
to me they look like the only real replacement for my smt, and although do not intend on replacing just yet, figured no harm it getting some opinions :)
thanks
Fantastic bike. So many buttons and gadgets to play with.
Had to do a few mods to make it more comfortable for my aging body
450miles.
That is an awesome looking bit of kit Tel.
I wonder if the 790 might change to one of those in time.
cheers mate, it does look smart
kinda wish i got one when they were offering the 2017 models at ridiculous prices
hopefully ktm will be doing something similar end of this year!
Sales of the SDR and derivatives were on their arse initially. The newer model with the TFT dash and optional QS etc is much better ergonomically than the earlier model.
That would interest me next summer.
Big test tomorrow. Rideout with the hooligans.
Where you headed Tel?
Hawes N Yorkshire
Thought you might be. Say hi to WazzaDuke if he goes.
Will do. N Wales is planned this year. Give you a shout when we are going.
Be quick. I'm away with work mid- June for 4 months ☹️
Good turnout
