KTM 950sm

Very reluctant sale of my KTM 950sm

First registered 02/09/05  55 registration.
Originally supplied by Robinsons of Rochdale motorcycles
One meticulous owner from new (Me)

All manuals, keys, documentation, original KTM bag, MOTs, purchases paperwork, supplied.

The Speedo reads 34400 miles. At approx 28000 miles the engine had a precautionary overall.
See pictures for condition of engine and parts replaced. £1500+ spent on engine and chassis refresh. I have a cost and parts used spreadsheet with pictures of the rebuild.
At the same time of the engine overall, I decided to have a freshen up of the wheels and frame powder coated them Black
The work was carried out by KIY (KTM guru)
The bike is mint in every way and never been crashed. It has been used in conjunction with other bikes, hence the low mileage for its age.
Engine oil, screens and filter changed every 3000 miles.
12 months MOT

I have made numerous improvements to the bike and maintained it to the highest standard.

Akrapovic oval exhaust end cans
Rottweiler performance air filter with custom map
SAS/EPC removed
XBIKES modification
Black powder coated frame
Black powder coated wheels
Recent front calliper overhaul with new pads
Recent Chain and sprockets (16T front)
Recent Battery
Carbon engine case covers both sides
Black sprocket and frame guards
KTM power parts hand guards
Forks bleeders
R&G boobins all round (F&R wheels and frame)
Pretender tail tidy
Pretender screen
Crispy Black KTM swinging arm graphics
Carbon engine case covers
Black renthal 609  RC High bend bars

Can't afford it. Too much to have sat in the garage for less than 10 outings a year.

The 749 is crippling me though. 2 trips out and wrists and back are killing me.

Can't believe I thought it would be OK 🤦‍♂️

There are too many fast sharp handling fun bikes out there with comfort thrown in to be in that prone position. Couldn't last 5 minutes.

Haha

The only mistake I've made is riding the 790 yesterday and remembering how much fun a light naked is with modern brakes and suspension

Would a 690sm or 701 scratch your itch moz.

Shame the 790 didn't look like the pre production model.

BTW moz the guy that purchased the 950 lives near your base. He attends the Valley track days on a regular basis.

To be honest Tel - Id like something I could ride to work on and a SM just wouldn't be up to the dual carriageway job. The 790 would be perfect. It did everything very well.

Who bought the 950? PM the name!!
