Bikes For Sale / ZX-9R 2003 For sale or Swap for zx6r
October 28, 2015, 08:38:19 PM
Hey guys, I bought a zx9r, its a mega beast. I love it, but its far too fast for me. Its so easy to cruise at 100+ on it, so I'm going to go back to a six, as I never could cruise at those speedfs on the 6. I work as a HGV driver so I cant loose my license!

Here is the bike

My ZX9r F1P is now up for sale .
Never let me down, I few age related marks here and there ((12 yrs old)
Current mileage 22580 (may go up slightly)
REGISTERED 03/10/2003 V5 in my name.
MOT EXPIRES 26/02/2016
I don't have much service history but the bike has been serviced by myself.
Last service July 2015.
Brand new Avon Storm II Ultras on front and rear in September
I checked the vales and were all in tolerance.
Oil Change + new filter(K&N Oil and Air)
New NGK Iridium Plugs
Suspension all greased
Chain cleaned and re-lubed
New Black Shadow Front Discs fitted (May 2014)
New Front pads fitted same time (Goldfren FA347)
HEL Brake Lines fitted front & back (Black) (March 2014)
New Yuasa Battery (August 2014)
Michelin Pilots fitted lasy year (Still got plenty of life in them)
White Lockwood Dials
Carbon Can Company silencer.
Renthal Soft Grips
Marked with a Carole Nash DNA kit. (I have the code number)
2 Keys
Lots of Old MOT's and some receipts
Suspension was set up at Alpha Suspension Last Year.
If you need any more info please PM me
The bike is in Pwllheli, North Wales
Sorry for this bit
No test rides unless you have Proof of I.D. & Insurance, money on the table.
If you bin it you buy it.
Thanks for looking

Some bits I've forgotten to add... Bike comes with a carbtune pro 2 if it goes for the right price.

Carbs have been tuned and are running bleeding brilliantly.

Bike has been taken care of, acf50 all over.

Brakes stop great you can do a stoppy with two fingers

Has hawk alarm fitted.

Also has incredibly bright nightbreaker bulbs with blue tint, possibly hid they are so bright but I'm not sure how to check.

Has the kleen air mod for more power, +4 ignition advancer, runs amazing on 99 octane.

Also last week had new bearings and sprocket carrier on rear.

The bike is in very good mechanical condition, I have done all the maintenance and its been well looked after.

Let me know if you're interested - lukebolger101@gmail.com (I sometimes forget to check the forum!)

Bikes For Sale / zx9r F1p for sale
July 22, 2015, 05:39:13 PM
Hey guys,

I am looking for a green ninja, I like silver, but I would rather a green one because they go faster and I am a hooligan.

Would do a straight swap for the right zx6r (I know they are slower, but for the right one in green, Ill swap)

Paid 2K for the bike two months ago, done quite a bit to it,

new iridium plugs come with it (not fitted yet as old ones look fine)
entire bike coated in ACF50 to stop any corrosion,
KN air filter
Ignition advance mod +4
Kleen Air Mod
it has new chain and sprocket last year,
has datatool demon alarm,
has about 20K (still going up I use it every day!)
comes with lots of service history and runs perfectly.
Carbon Company can Carbon exhaust ( sounds mega)
original toolkit and manual.

only reason Im selling is due to I really cant live with a silver bike at my age, I want green or orange!

Bike Talk / ZX6R vs ZX9R?
May 31, 2015, 09:55:40 AM
HEllo,

I am looking at bikes, is there much difference between the six and the nine?

My g1 had horribly bad handling so am trying to stay away from that era, but looking at some 2000-2004 zx9r's and some zx6r's too.

I imagine the bigger engine in the 9 would be more resilient and capable of longer service intervals etc, and be better for touring, both mpg wise and less of a headache, touring two up at 70 would be less revs for example...

your thoughts much appreciated

Hey guys,

I've always been told that fuel injection is more efficient. Well my g1 got 180 before hitting reserve.  My b1h with fi got 135.

Why such a massive difference? And I rode it exactly the same way...

Newbie Corner / Hello Internet friends

Good evening,

I'm Luke from North Wales.

I reluctantly sold my 636 b1h about two months ago due to a back injury, but now am receiving physio and feeling much better so am itching for another bike.

Have been looking at a couple of j1s and a ap1 but the look isn't as aggressive and I had major handling problems with my g1, and that's put me right off getting another zx of that era.

Have 2200 to spend so if anyone has anything suitable let me know =)
