I think it is the same engine spec as my SX. So with a pipe and reflash it would be a hoot. You or Ian fancy one ?

I'm sure they ride and go well just can't get my head round the styling of them.

Love the look of them. Apparently the one to go for is the R/performance version with the Öhlins as standard.

Was told by a Kawasaki dealer it has the engine from a 2005 zx10r in them , brilliant bikes found no flaws when I test rode it absolutely loved the thing, oh and that front end the looks!

   yes he bought a 2018 Z1000r last weekend.

We went out for a quiet bimble on Sunday and even I got to have a play on it. Must say, I wasn't sure what to expect, but was really pleasantly surprised. Very refined, smooth with lots of low down power. It does come into its own when you give it a bit of stick, and those Akky cans make it sound amazing. I found it a bit strange as you can't see any of the front end of the bike when riding it. All you can see is the wing mirrors  you can feel the bike but not actually any of it!
