Anyone know any owners of it??

What do they think? It’s a discontinued lid but so like the look of it and I need a new one. It’ll have to be an online purchase so just wondered if I could get any owner feedback?

Anyone got a set? Any good?

Do they zip together around the full(ish) waist or just a short section at the back?

Looking at a cheap set on eBay but would rather have a full zip, the seller is away so can’t check and “can’t remember” ....

Can anyone help?

Bike Talk / Silly season
« on: December 07, 2018, 05:33:53 PM »
Not racing but MOz’s wanting a new bike urges getting really silly.

Current thoughts are V4 shaped (as in Panigale). Man maths easily makes the PCP numbers look stupidly cheap......

Stupid idea right? The 790 hasn’t even done 1000 miles yet

Bike Talk / Drying your bike after washing.

Anyone here use either a purpose bought bike dryer or a pet dryer?

Which model do you use? They look pretty useful but you can get a 2800W pet dryer for £45. The same output “bike dryer” is £135.

I’ve read they do the same job. Anyone got one?

Bike Talk / KTM Finished.

Not much pissing about with it.

Tail tidy, seat cowl, bar end mirrors, de-pegged and AR shorty slip-on. The can is loud considering it’s still bolted to the cat.

Oh yes - that is a gorgeous looking bike.

It will be ruined by a number plate I suppose - but I am very keen to try this.

I’ve recently got back on two wheels.

The hype was awesome - the test ride very entertaining - therefore it had to be done.

Ninjas I give you - the finest and most entertaining middleweight naked on the market.

One from collection day

I fitted the tail tidy yesterday. I have the slip-on akky coming as part of the deal but I’m hearing a full Akky system is on its way too so I might wait for that. Austin Racing make a lovely looking system for the 1290 so I’m hoping they might produce one for the 790 too.

I’m very impressed with it - really nice engine, the QS works very well both up and down and it handles so sharp!!! Despite not being adjustable, the suspension feels great out of the box and the brakes aren’t Brembos but they are plenty for road riding.

An R model is being denied but if it turns up I’d definitely consider it. First service is booked in a weeks time. Looking forward to having all the revs. It lifts the front off the throttle in second beautifully. It also has fully switchable lean ABS, TC, launch control (why I have no idea but it sounds cool) and a supermoto mode for backing it in (personal talent pending!!) 😎

Bikes For Sale / Ducati 749 Dark 06 (56)
« on: April 07, 2018, 05:01:44 PM »
I can barely believe this but having done a couple of average ride outs this thing is crippling me. I’m old, overweight and must have been dreaming that it would be OK.

So I’m going to try and sell it being a good time of year and find something comfier.

Nov 06 749 Dark - one of the last made with the later R swingarm. Asking price includes rare custom made single seat cowl and lots of Ducati Performance carbon bits.

Good condition for its age. Has the usual Ducati crack in the clocks, small scratch in the tail unit and a few age related marks. Must be seen really.

Comprehensive service history as follows.

Nov 06 - PDI
Dec 07 - Service @ 3267 miles
Oct 09 - Service / Belt change @ 5176 miles
May 12 - Service / Valves check / Belt change @ 6862 miles
Mar 16 - Service / Belt change @ 8830 miles
Sep 17 - Service / new Regulator Rectifier / new battery / new brake pads @ 9047 miles
Mar 18 - Service / Belt change @ 9087 miles

MOT due Mar 19
New Pirelli Diablo 2 tyres fitted for MOT
Currently on 9200 miles

Bike is great, nothing wrong with it.

Ninja price £3995

Bike Talk / Any scary reason why not?
« on: February 23, 2018, 09:23:51 AM »
Viewing this tomorrow. It’s had loads of interest but I have my name top of the list.

Really fancy it. It’s got a reasonable service history and just a couple of minor marks I’d try and sort. Matt Black is not my favourite finish.

The dealer can’t do a test ride but it should be OK at about 105 bhp.

What do you think?
