Wanted / Re: Project bike bits
October 02, 2017, 08:01:13 PM
Yes I'm being serious.

My original plan was to have a bike that I could go to a track day, run around for a laugh and generally mess about with. This being built by me and my kids, in the vague hope that it might actually interest/teach them some skills along the way.

My local track is castle Combe who sadly won't let you run a bike with less than a 250cc engine, so I'll be looking to swap the engine out at a later date.

So yes I'm being serious, I like the idea of turning up and having a laugh.

Wanted / Project bike bits
October 01, 2017, 06:52:48 PM
I'm in the process of turning a cd200 into a track bike and I'm currently missing some bits. I'm not after model specific parts I'm looking for bits that people have lying around that I could buy to use on the project.

Bikes For Sale / Re: ZX10r 2004 road/track package

It's a proper pain as well as it's basically the package that I went to start racing with.

Unless of course you want to swap it for a late 90s vfr800 in black?

Your not asking too much, it's just that the site is not used as much as it once was.

That and I'm broke so can't afford to buy it like I want to :(

Road bike, means that I can disappear for the day and go exploring.

And find a place to eat pie.

A bike with the Moz stamp of approval, and gaining the elusive 6 month ownership with Alzo is a rare beast indeed.

Bike Talk / Bike reviews
July 07, 2017, 06:34:20 PM
I saw a post on Facebook earlier this week asking where prior go to find reviews of different types of bikes, and the got me thinking.

Considering that some media are known to be biased toward one or more manufacturers, and that others have been known to ignore certain facts, where do you guys go for info on your next purchase?

I've not seen them online for a while, might have a look on the vfr owners forum, see if they also sell matching pipe and slippers.

Wanted / 1999 VFR 800 parts

Does anyone have any parts available, been looking on eBay and some people seem to have a rather inflated idea of how much some parts are worth.

Bike Talk / Re: Your biking plans for 2017

Show off

My plans are to get at least one track day done,  try and make it to the memorial ride and get a project bike to keep me busy.

I had one as a daily ride for a while,  really good bike to get out and about on,  especially 2 up.

I would suggest replacing the rear shock as that made my old one a lot better.

I do however it only had 11 digits, so I had to go down to my local post office in the end,  but all sorted now.

Right the bike got delivered earlier on today however it would appear that I cannot tax the bike as I only have an 11 soffit reference number instead of a 12 digit one,  any ideas add to how I can get this taxed online?
