Bike Talk / Re: The enduro hunt begins…

Well, didn't need the GPS dash after all, the kwaka wasn't right for me, it didn't feel right. So now I'm finally  picking up a KTM 350 exc-f 4 stroke next Saturday.

So both me and steve (who doesn't do forums) who's gone  and bought a GPX 300 2t are now starting our green lane and off road journey 😂

Bike Talk / The enduro hunt begins…

Ok, so track bike gone, and the enduro bike hunt begins...

Shortlisted a few KTM's as was setting me sights on one as a first choice but just found a decent looking KX 450 that has been made road legal and ticks all the boxes except one thing missing is a Speedo.

While it's not needed I'd rather have one, I've tried looking for ideas how to do this as I'm gonna use it for green laning and a bit of road riding.

Any one have any experience of or suggestions on how to do this, as not much coming up in the web so far.

Any advice appreciated.

Well that didn't take long, and no haggles, time to move onto the next chapter  :moto:

Thank Dan, it should make some one a good track bike, it has served me well, one careful owner before and after the crash

That said, it has been well looked after throughout my ownership, could also go back on the road with some work on a daytime MOT.

Not in any rush to sell, so if any one knows any one looking, feel free to send them my way

Kawasaki ZX10R Gen3 for sale - £ 3,500.

Selling up and calling it a day with trackdays, however will be looking to get into a bit of enduro riding instead.

Bike was a preregistered purchase so I'm really just the one owner since June 2009. The V5 is in my name.

I initially used the bike on the road for a few years and then ventured into trackday riding before becoming solely used as a track bike (after I crashed it at Almeria in 2017, damaging all the road fairings and suffering a bit of gravel rash) It has around 18,000 miles (maybe a bit more) on the clock, oil has been changed religiously, it has track fairings, akrapovic race end can and link pipe,  I have fitted custom made braided hoses, aftermarket rear sets etc. the front forks were serviced in October 2022, and the bike was last used in Almeria soon after in November 2022. Currently fitted with slicks. Tyres are Dunlops and while the front will see you right for a few sessions or a day, the back is practically finished and will need changing. It will come with tyre warmers, front and rear paddock stands and anything else I may have lying around such as a new set of front brake pads I have stored somewhere, il throw in.

Main reason is all my biker mates have given up so rather than be Billy no mates it's time to let it go. It's been a blast but all good things must come to an end, I will try and work out how to add current pictures of the bike, but if anyone is interested just drop me a message and il send answer your questions and send you any pictures you require.

It's been in Spain for the last 4 years and just come back to the uk so il be tinkering with it giving it a clean etc. (at some point) it's also been used as a track bike and is in track trim (no road fairings, lights etc. so expect a few battle scars, if your looking for something to polish look elsewhere 😛

Do get in touch if genuinely interested.

Located in Alton, Hampshire.

Have never thought of doing Cartagena although it seems popular.

Lots of activities this year by everyone which is good to see 👍

Just booked onto Jerez for September, been itching to go back and taste the same tarmac, loved my first experience of this circuit, just hope it's as good as I remember 🐼

Ahh yes I forgot about the huge uplift in daily fuel costs for the bikes, time to take up bowls or something less expensive perhaps

Looking good 😎

Track looks quiet, if it was as busy as our May trip the future is looking grim.. pit lane and garages was barely half full, seems like the cost is killing it for people. Repatriation Insurance is limited and the price has gone astronomical, car hire costs have gone mental, tyres appear to be in short supply!

Better for those that are going I guess as the place is not packed any more like sardines in a can!

Hoping to make time for another trip in September if the stars Align.. want to do Jerez again...

That helpful thank you.

Trying to find info on the local lanes, roads and tracks is. It proving easy. If I can find enough to justify then I'll pull the pin so to speak on a bike around 2.5k to 3K no problem. But finding where to use it first is my next step.

Any one know any groups worth joining to check out the trails, feel free to point me in the general direction
