If you use ebay,  look under the search options and choose completed items and/or sold items,  this will show you what they actually sold for on eBay.

I don't think so,  I got the message through ebay from mike_636. He didn't mention the forum so I don't think so.

Bikes For Sale / VFR800 FiX - sold
March 25, 2022, 11:22:38 AM
I've decided to sell my vfr, it's been laid up for just over a year and with work at the moment I'm not likely to get a chance to ride it this year.

It's got approx 65k on the clocks and on a SORN at present.

Good point:
Had valves and timing done at 60k
Decent tyres
Recent chain and front sprocket.
Spare new rear sprocket.
Spare brake rebuild kit.

Bad points:
Crack in RHS front fairing
RHS indicator needs recounting (think I didn't put it back quite right)
2 tears in seat
Marks down RHS from previous owner dropping it in their garage.

I'd like £800 for it however these usually go for over £1k and I'd like a quick sale.

Sadly I'm already booked otherwise I'd be tempted to turn up and wobble around for a bit.

Either way how you guys have fun.

February,  bikes been in the garage since then but it'll get a service and clean up before I sell it and that will be it for a while, don't have the time to enjoy it anymore and not sure thats going to change.

Might get something to tinker with in the garage mind you.

Jealousy will get you nowhere.
Is there room for a little one?

We'd heard the rumours...

Projects / Re: Project suggestions please

Personally speaking I'd be looking at getting a  replacement set of fairings (either chinese like green ninja suggests or oem if you can afford it and go for something a little different with the colours.

Like for example doing a 2010 race rep but changing the primary colours.

Once this whole situation is over I'm tempted to get a 16/17 zx10r, however I'd be using it as my daily, so think that might not be the best idea.

I'd like to say yes however with 3 kids I'm more likely to buy a Ford.

Projects / Re: ZX7R project....

I think that the main issue is that for the cost of upgrading the bike, you can get a much newer, more capable bike.

The project was great fun when I did it, but the fuel economy was shot, the bike was still very heavy and aside from confusing gixxer 600 owners off of the lights, didn't have that much going for it.

I know its possible to fit a zx10r or a zzr14 front end but cant remember what years fit best, also the aprilia 'banana' swing arm also fits the rear quite well.

I also spent way too much money upgrading my old zx7r, even swapped the engine from a 9r.
