Suns out - time to flex the motor :-)

Well thats another trip ticked off.

Bike performed flawlessly, weather was flawless and I PB'd with a 1.42 so very happy trip all round.

HT1 class 1000cc ... Seton Tuning aka Me and Phil ... Bikes performed flawlessly all year, pb's at every track and not been off the podium in 2015.

Laid under it in prep for Valley yesterday for 3 hours. 

Stripped all plastics
Uploaded latest flash to the ECU
Changed fork springs (10.5)
Changed Oil
Changed Filter
New Lock Wire throughout (dont wanna be dropping stuff on Moz's runway)
Cleaned it with a brush
Changed two rear tyres
Fitted new captive spacers to OEM rims
New set of Z04 pads
Fitted new carbon mudgaurd after the GRP got poorly courtesy of a stone at Cadwell

Ready for Valley :-)

About 3 months old, as new condition, was used for a one off customer job. Diskless.

After taking advice from our financial advisors it has become apparent that we cannot meet our financial commitments. The Directors have no choice but to cancel all future events and place the company into liquidation.

We are very sorry for the people who have put their trust in us this year and in the past, the meetings we have run have been special and we have made some lovely friends during the past 9 years.

Well Saturday just gone was the first race on the R1 at my local circuit.

Teamed up with phil seton ( also on 15 R1) and endurance regular Andy Goddard on his zx10r.

Practice day was ok, but struggled to get the bike to the apex with it being very unstable when hard on the brakes.  Snetterton has a few very big stops (170 to 50 mph) so this is pretty important when chasing lap times.  Fortunately endurance regular and former team mate Gary Johnson was at Snetterton so with his help we set about transforming the bike and bang 2 seconds straight away.

Qualifying on Saturday morning started in sunshine and amongst the 42 other teams we qualified P2 behind Gary so things were looking pretty good so far :-)

Race started at noon on Saturday in fabulous weather and progressed really well, running P2 for the first hour until my gear change lever fell off ... Stuck in sixth cruised a lap to get back to the pits and change over whilst it was fixed, unfortunately this impromptu stop would ultimately mean one pit stop more than needed.  Also for the six hour race rider times are allowed to be 40 minutes but fuel endurance on the R1's 16 litre tank is only 36 minutes again meaning more stops than absolutely necessary.   Our gear lever incident put us back to 9th so we set about our work and at the end of 6 hours we finished in P3 and got the R1 on the podium first time out :-). Less than 30 seconds behind Gary :-)

Pretty chuffed about appearing on the same page of a racing mag with these gods !!

Off to padded cell paint they go ...

So there we were down to one bike 1/3 of the way into the race, spent a hour getting the thing setup (so it went around corners Jimmy!) and 20 minutes from the end of the race after following the safety (sic) car at 30mph for 4 laps I decided to throw it into the scenery at Charlies 1 on the first fast lap after it had pulled in.

Ejection took place at 86 mph, walked away with a fractured thumb. Livid with myself (apologies if I was ranting when getting helped up marshalls).  Dick head .. rookie mistake.

But got a little 600 into the 1.38s at Cadwell :-)

Anyway, big thanks to the fine fella that loaned me it in the first place :-)
