I've just bought a Klim goretex windstopper snowmobile balaclava for use under my Tour X. Should be very warm hopefully. Half UK price on eBay USA.

He needs to know that the moment the bike leaves your care that's it. No come backs, no arguments etc etc.

Obviously, make sure you have been 100% honest about the bike. Go over it as if you're the buyer, not the seller and take lots of photos for him to see. I'd suggest that he needs to know the moment he is happy to buy - that is the deal. No changes, no money back etc.

Most of the time these deals go through perfectly. I've bought and sold unseen using couriers without any problems but there are some horror stories. If he's not happy with the situation offer him £50 off it on the proviso he travels to view it first. Gets you the sale and the peace of mind. If he's in the Highlands and  your in Bournemouth however - not really an option!!

Basic stuff.

You need to know exactly who is buying it. Proof of ID and address is peace of mind. The money has to be fully cleared before the courier takes it away. He'll need to sign the V5 so there'll be a something to do there. A signed receipt from him faxed or scanned and emailed to you would suffice I guess. The courier might be able to help you here.

A word of warning. Make sure the courier signs something to confirm the condition of the bike (take photos) before he goes. I have heard of courier mishandling causing panel damage subsequently denied by the courier leaving buyer and seller with an awkward situation. Make sure his courier is fully insured and insist that the moment the bike leaves your charge you are no longer responsible for it in any way shape or form.

I may well be putting the K7 on eBay soon so it's something I need to look it for too.

I just bought a two piece Halvarssons armoured goretex jacket with storm collar and trousers with braces. I commute in these wth my alpinestars motocross boots and an Arai Tour X lid. It's perfect. I'll be selling my one piece Dainese suit next Spring together with some other kit as I just won't use them again.

For me, it has to be  "textile" but decent stuff isn't cheap. I can heartily recommend Halvarssons kit as it was recommended to me in a previous thread.

Don't worry about pushing slicks hard - Gobert proved that doesn't hinder anyone.....

I like the bar end mirrors.

What made you choose the FZ FG? Looks, price, cheap to insure, rarity etc??

They remind of my old 2-stroke days...nothing...nothing...boom...very rewarding as a fast road/ Track bike...demands to be ridden...one of the best looking 600's to date. Enjoy.

Spot on Alzo - a very acquired taste for a road bike, perfect on the track.

Needs lots of servicing - make sure it has a rock solid history either home or dealer.

Great fun.

I was genuinely surprised by the outcome of this - it pissed off my sports car driving mates when I posted it on Facebook!
