Tyres / Re: Pilot 6's

I have Michelin Road 5s on at the moment...rate highly...at the moment I have a pair of Michelin PR5s (£220) sat in the garage alongside a pair of Metzler Roadtec Z8s (£179) and I'll be putting on fresh rubber for the impending Euro trip...probably go with the PR5s...PR6s look more like the PR4s did...all good tyres.

Two different views of ownership...Dan's is probably more revelant based on ownership of said model.
I'm just bitter with KTM so I'm best ignored...maybe. 😉
Good luck with the search.

We are unfortunate to have horrendous Dealerships...I think KTM as a manufacturer don't vet their Dealerships enough...the current 1290 engine is refined enough....but previous model years are agricultural...and reliability is suspect.

Bike Talk / Re: Valuing a bike for sale?

Ive had a look at the bikes for sale on Ebay. The prices seem a bit high if im being honest! Ive not looked at values for a few years so maybe im just not in touch with second had values.

Trying a dealer for price  is a good shout. Ill pop along to a few and see what they say. Does a Parkers/Glasses guide still exist for dealers?
Having done a few deals in my time I've sat with Saleman who still have a guide book...but in parallel they look at Biketrader to see what others are selling the bike I'm proposing to trade in...so definitely influential.

Biketrader and search for similar bikes.
Value guides in bike magazines.
A kind dealer giving you a trade/retail figure.
As for the spares the desire level will depend on condition and if required often...and that will reflect price...Ebay may be your research buddy.

Greenbank logo could do with a border round it to make it standout better?
Gravel border added.  :moto:

Quote from: MOzZereLLa on January 08, 2022, 09:29:44 AMYes. I hit the dealer with a post Xmas offer £2550 below rrp (expecting to be told to do one) and he took it on a bike they have in stock. Not my first colour choice (orange, not grey) but I will now ride a 2021 KTM Super Adventure S with Tech Pack and heated seat / grips. The Triumph was excellent but a bit too off-road focused and seriously lacked the grunt I'm used to. Gone back to 160bhp from 90bhp again!!

Will it make it to Scotland?

Unsure

Quote from: Jimhas7 on December 25, 2021, 05:17:34 PMBeen looking for a while, can't seem to find anything half decent even a project below 2K, everything starts at 2K and is often listed well north of 3K.

Am I living a pipe dream or are all the enduro, mx dirt bikes now in so much demand that that's the going rate  and il have to rethink my objectives 😭
Covid has seen the 2nd hand market in all sectors rise.

The silver is gloss. Looks really nice in the flesh. I have a couple of pics but don't know how to post pics on here from my phone. First time Triumph have got the graphics right in a while.

I just caught the Matt Black version on You Tube...keeping the KTM tank clean was easy...but any tiny general wear and tear scratches there was no way of addressing...whereas a gloss finish I'd have been able to polish out. Played havoc with my OCD.

Quote from: MOzZereLLa on December 17, 2021, 10:32:55 PMTiger 1200 is too expensive.

No changing for me - money needed elsewhere.
I thought the prices were similar to others in the sector.
They look like a great a great package...for someone...not me.

Not when an Adventure R with Tech Pack can be had for £15k

I'm tempted to go into my local KTM dealer this week before they close for Xmas and offer £14k for the S with Tech pack take it or leave it. Gos loves a trier 😂
If you don't ask you don't get...good luck.🤞
