Title: tail light lamps
Post by: Gilby104 on February 10, 2016, 01:55:44 PM
possibly the most inane question I have ever asked!

The GSXR600 K3 has an aftermarket tail unit which I can't remove the twin brake light covers from (waiting for the screwdriver I need to arrive from ebay!) but in the meantime I'd like to order some tail lamps for it. Is there any way of knowing the likely lamps that are in there.... or, for the sake of a couple of quid to guess and have them here tomorrow, which ones would you be ordering?

Cheers

One would suggest a little patience be the answer.  ;)

I'm using the bike for work and they aren't keen on me leaving it in the garage overnight, I'm keen to get it fixed before the boss gets back in you see. Bit dangerous riding it round with no lights..... and yesterday a man shouted at me and everything!

Timmy.... I got to the link before you deleted it.... I've ordered two of the buggers at £5 a pop.... I'll send you the bill!

(NB. I think the connections may even be the same and re-use the existing lamps / holders.... if not I've potentially wasted a tenner.... which is not uncommon!)

Thanks very much for the link BTW, it is the pretty much the advice I asked for!

No I pay far too much tax.

Plenty to choose from, even available on Amazon.

thanks Dom, your answer is at least as helpful as 'Ask Jeeves' ever was!

I was only joking about the LED bit anyway, the tail piece has 2 individual round lights which I am pretty sure aren't standard, so I'd have to mess about with whatever is there at the moment and it'd only go wrong!
