For sale is my Honda CBR600RR 2007 reg (2006 model) Movistar rep.

It has 19,500 miles and has just been serviced with oil,oil filter,air filter,chain and sprocket.Its got a Yoshimura RS-5 end can with baffle. It passes noise tests at Bedford. It has an OEM seat cowl and comes with pillion seat and Haynes manual, all keys and papers etc. 2 previous owners.

I planned to use as a track bike but now need a ULEZ car so will be giving up on 2 wheels for a while.

There is 1 scuff on the O/S where the previous owner.....MyMateDave fell off at very low speed after getting his knee down at Ninja fest many years ago at Donny in 2013 and deciding to look at his knee mid corner lol. Ill try and find a picture from the day. Ive actually got the video of it but don't know how to add it here?

anyway... i have a mint 2011 Aprilia RSV4 Factory Aprc with track body, road body and loads of spares. Its done under 8500 miles and was bought from Dave wood of Dave wood racing after he stripped and rebuilt it just before he moved premises from Aylesbury to Buckingham. Ive not ridden it in 3 years as its been in my mates garage as mine is full of a Vauxhall VX220. I reckon ive done 100 miles maybe including a few laps of Bedford in inters!!!

I was watching a thing on ITV4 about when Brits ruled the world in WSBK the other day. It was showing some of the Brands hatch WSBK round from the late 1990s. Brands was packed. They mentioned there were something like 120,000 spectators/fans there!!!!!

When did fans stop going to British events in such numbers and why? Has motorcycle racing lost its appeal for fans or has TV made it easier and cheaper to watch from home?

Do you think sites such as this are struggling to exist as modern bikes come out of the factory a bit too good and dont allow for mods like the old bikes did?

I remember trawling sites looking for cheap mods for pretty much all of the Kawasaki ive owned....removing butterflies, cheap quick action throttle, R1 calipers on a ZX10 04 etc etc etc

How to guides as well. It seems most modern bikes just need a remap and they are sorted

If you had a 1000cc jap sportsbike that has had engine work done (cam and valves re worked, ported and polished) and i believe an ECU remap giving more revs. It would be almost entirely for track days

How often should or would you refresh the engine? Ive never had a bike with internal mods so have no idea on timings nor costs.

Bearing in mind i am inters or slow advanced.....

If you had to buy a track bike for UK circuits, what would your choice be?

Would it be a 1000cc or a 600cc?

Im going to buy a low mileage 7r at some point over the next month or so. Does anyone know what front end is a reasonably easy swap? Ive seen some pictures of 7rs with Ohlins forks and Brembo calipers......which i like the look of. Any suggestions?

The plan is to make it look similar to the number 9 WSBK..

Well...i had my first off road day on 2 wheels at the weekend........and i loved it! Offthekerbtrailriding.co.uk down near Boxhill in Dorking.

Ive never done off road before but really enjoyed it. Now, i have a few questions......especially after reading Dom1's Taffy Drwg post....

1) where can a road legal off road bike be used? Any links to a datatbase?
2) What is a cheap but reliable bike to get
3) Apart from the bike and riding kit, is there anything else i would need?

A used pair of front brake discs off of a ZX10r 2004. They probably fit other models but you will need to check. They have been sat in the garage for a few years and have around 5.9mm left and need a scrub with some wire wool.

The first is KIT 41 and fits the Kawasaki ZX6RR/ZX6R/ZX636 2003-2004 models. £15 posted

The second is KIT 48 and fits loads of Kawasaki, including Versys 2014-2016, Z1000, ZX10R, ZX6R etc. Again £15 posted.
