Bike Talk / Re: Can’t decide

Personally I love the Triumph triples, probably the best 'road' engine on the market, perfect fuelling and ride-ability and its a bloody good looking bike..

If the only issue on the KTM that is affecting your decision (knowing how much you like a bargain) then is it something that would affect you massively given the mileage you do and the fact it will be under warranty whilst you own it....??

Bike Talk / Apres Lockdown party??

Feels like a late in the year event needed, lets get the ideas rolling in and see what you intelligent/creative folks can come up with..

Fire Jumping, Alcohol fuelled stupidity, Dodgy food, Average Company, Did I mention Alcohol?

All ideas based around anything vaguely interesting and sociable welcomed....

Might have to look at the option of the new Z1000SX if that counts, did like my 2014 model

Depends on mode and style of riding, if I'm completely honest the 120 the B1 had was plenty for the road but the GSXS at 150 feels about right, Having rode the GS1200 with 124 it felt ok but also that I'd get a little bored with it especially as I was considering one for 2 Up with luggage.. Remember the BMW K1 which had 100BHP and was produced to the agreement but BMW spent a fortune with all the bodywork and wind tunnel testing, interesting as it was I don't think I'd buy a modern equivalent.
Fancy a go on the new super duke with 180BHP tho ;-)

Peek, great bike, colour scheme makes it look quality and I like the gold wheels, enjoy it as I do know from that recent test ride that they a very capable beast...

Thought I had put something on here previously but maybe it was my imagination lol

New Z1000SX floats my boat and looking forward to getting a ride on one in the new year, BMW R1250RS also still appeals.
Have toyed with the adventure bike thing but ruled it out now and tbh taking my GSXS in for service the other week reminded me how much fun I can have on it albeit perhaps only without Julie on the back....

Quote from: Foo on December 05, 2019, 02:08:19 pmAfter having driven a few electric cars, and experienced the acceleration and speed I'm actually looking forward to trying an electric bike.
I do get to use the EV's at work on several occasions and have to say they are very driveable so if we can get to decent range and the new thermal charging battery technology can be approved for super fast recharging times then the bikes should be plenty entertaining. Will miss the noise tho

Less than £16000 apparently... just a rummage down the back of the sofa for a good chippie 😉

Had been looking at Premier Inn prices for the last weekend just this week, I'm up for it and if I can sort a comfy seat for Julie then we may even do the ride there and back instead of just hiring for the day..

Nice lids, had a much earlier version which i was wearing when got knocked off my K4, do fancy the 803 but it definitely feels 'snug' ... ,must be my huge brain lol
