Ok, so after the trackday at Donington my slightly weeping front fork seal has well and truly failed.

What is the average price for a rebuild and who is the best person to send them too to get done.

Carbon_ZX6R

they rwu forks or usd forks and are you wanting to send them of to a specialist (not needed at all and waste of time) or you wanna drop off bike and pick up in few hours?

depending on where you take it (independent or main dealer) your looking at really between £140-£160 nearly all of which is labour if you have a small dealer near you best bet is to take it there

I presume you ment just changing the seals etc.....
and that is main dealer prices

When my fork started leaking, Darren at http://www.Tillitsuspension.com said it was because there was a nick in the chrome on the stanchion which distorted the seal as it passed over it. He flattened it off, changed the seal  and they don't leak at all. He charges about £90 for a fork service, new seals and oil change. Did a sterling job on mine, and the bonus he is only about a mile from my works

its cheaper if you take in the fork leg as it saves a lot of time

good price I shelled out £500 to have the stanchions replaced on the ninja 250 with full service

+1 with Ash's recommendation. I spoke to Darren off the back of Ash's post on here, he's  straight up bloke. I sent off the forks and shock from my R6 track bike, he stripped, rebuilt, revalved/springed them all and sent back in a week and a half. Cost was about £440 all in which I thought was good value compared to some of the established companies. Will be testing out on track this weekend to see how good the results are.

So had my first outing on the newly rebuilt suspension at Rockngham this weekend just past, and I've got to say it's the best money I've spent on the bike so far. I can really feel the difference with the revalve/rebuild, and I had so much confidence in the bike it just made me want to push and push (for my novice level any way!).

If you're considering getting any suspension work done but can't afford the established names, I will definitely recommend Tillit, and will be using them again in the future.

I'm fairly chuffed that I've got Tillit on my doorstep. The worK which they have done to mine has transformed the handling of the bike, and he spotted and corrected a substantial bodge in one of the legs by a previous owner. I may ask him about potential benefits of reworking the shock internals on my B1 at some stage, but it has never handled so well as is now the case.

Quick update ,

Phoned 100% suspension and after a quick chat with them arranged to send them my forks and rear Ohlins shock to them for servicing and also have the forks re-sprung and re-valved for my weight . As they were due to go to Assen to support the BSB they were not available last week. However they arranged for me to send the bits to them for an AM delivery and then they took them with them to Assen and did them there. They also got them sent back on the K-tech truck as it was coming back a day earlier than they were.
All in all a great service and kept me informed at all times.
