As per another thread somewhere, yesterday I took a long trip to Bideford to go and pick up this little beauty and bring her home to Kent

It's had a fair bit or work doing to the running gear, but currently the bodywork lets it down a little (that will be sorted)

Current spec is: (with reciepts for around 10k for the engine alone)

2332cc engine (dyno print at 162 BHP)
Porsche fan conversion (made CSP with carbon fibre shroud) (£silly money)
Omex 600 engine management and Jenvey fuel injection throttle bodies
External oil cooler and fan
Extra oil capacity sump
VAG disc brake conversion (vented front and solid rear) servo assisted
Race baffled ali fuel tank
4 inch narrowed Creative Engineering beam
Cog box gearbox - with different ratios to lower RPM for motorway
Heated front windscreen and tinted rear glass (not window film)

The previous owner had kept her for 20years and was selling due to divorce, needless to say he was a sad when I left...  :crybaby2:

I'm going to get the bodywork sorted (once I get a good reccomendation of who to use)

Thats all for now as I'm exhausted after a 5 hour drive home  :sleepy1:

the only way that story could be more tragic, is if you'd got Swarbrick to haggle for you.

the fucker would be hanging over his stair landing right now.

Now you have it, get some security, they are extremely popular with thieves.

Very nice, happy camping.

when it goes in for bodywork, it will also be getting seperate deadlocks and a decent alarm is already on the list :)

What's it like to drive on a long run with that motor?

Tiring... It's quite loud at 60+mph. but will sit happily at 70+ up to over 100 should you wish if you can deal with the noise, its not to modern car sound deadening standards by any means, in fact not even close), around country lanes its a hoot and sounds a bit naughty!

4th gear will pull from 30'ish mph and will continue until you want it to.

Steering is heavy and a bit vague, the camping eqpt (hob, sink, etc) all rattle a bit - I did 5hours in it yesterday but wouldnt rush to do it again anytime soon. It must weigh a ton as the flooring is a 1 1/2" bamboo real wood floor and the ceiling is decked out with wood, and the cabinets are made from proper wood (not this lightweight stuff) and aluminium sheeting. I bet it would fly if it wasnt weighed down so much.

It's also got some performance type exhaust, (need to look at invoices to find out what it is) but he's spent a huge ammount on the engine / ancillaries. mapping alone was 20hours on the dyno.

But its pretty cool and gets lots of attention on the road.  :afro:

Now you can join the run to the sun every year.  Lovely, always wanted one of those. Look after it!
